NEW! Search For Foreclosures on Central Oregon MLS
The Central Oregon MLS just added the category Bank Owned to the MLS website. This means that searching for foreclosures in Central Oregon cities will now be easier than ever. While I haven’t found a website that allows clients to search for foreclosures on the COAR MLS, agents can now set up clients to receive foreclosure listings in their e-mail. Clients will be e-mailed foreclosure listings as they come on the market or change price.
Currently there are 69 bank owned foreclosures on the MLS (residential only). These foreclosures range from $109,900 to $735,000. There are probably some listings that haven’t been added to the category yet, so this number will likely go up in the next week or so.

You are so lucky. There is no way to distinguish bank owned properties on our mls. Well, there kind of is, but it is far from being complete. I wish our board would do this.
Yeah, it took a long time for our mls to get this. It makes life much easier.
We have that on our MLS here in Myrtle Beach. A sad but useful tool.
How times have changed… when REOs become its own search category, you have to wonder what will happen to the houses for sale by individuals.
Great post! I am an REO agent from Colorado, unfortunately Colorado was one of the first states to get hit with the foreclosure epidemic. I remember having these exact same thoughts about our MLS adding in the foreclosure category about 4 years ago.
This epidemic we are in can certainly be a shock in this profession.
It is nice to have a way to be able to search for homes that have been foreclosed on. You can really save some money this way and there are many nice homes out there at great prices.
