New and improved Bend real estate site
I recently changed the layout and design of my Central Oregon real estate site, www.dylandarling.com. The biggest change is the much wider layout. This, along with the new color scheme, makes the site easier to view and navigate.
The slide-show has also changed. I’m now using photos of the Bend area that I’ve taken over the past couple of years. The slide-show also loads much faster than before. All of the search functions are basically the same, except for its now easier for customers to login to their accounts via my search page.
I’m still tweaking a few things here and there. Take a look at the new site and let me know what you think. And if you find any “bugs”, please contact me.
Suggestions are welcome. I’ll be expanding the site over the next few months. So if you’d like to see something added to the site, please let me know.

Kudos on the new site, REW makes some great work with their embedded IDX.
I really like the color palette you used here. I’ve been taking really hard look at REW’s new template sites. Their IDX design is awesome. The problem I have here in Houston is that our MLS board will not allow a 3rd party IDX solution. They will give me the raw feed but then REW would have to custom build the IDX into my site. The custom sites are way more expensive than the template sites. It really sucks that my MLS board is being like this. I also have to pay an additional $1,000 per year to my board to get the raw IDX feed. I found a guy in Hawaii that puts together a template type site with a custom IDX system. This looks like it is the most feasible. I really like the back end of the site. The lead management system is awesome.
The new real estate website you built is a big improvement over your current site. It’s much more professional. What kind of traffic are you getting on the new real estate site compared to the current one?

The template looks good, simple and fresh! However, there is no sharing options on the website. Are you not promoting your business on twitter/facebook and other social media networks?

I agree with the comments above. The website looks great! However I think that it might help to put a search option on your main page. I know the link isn’t very far away, but it may be more user friendly to see it immediately when your consumers enter your site. Your search box is small enough that I think it could easily fit. It looks good. Nice and clean. I know how challenging working with IDX systems can be. It’s kind of a mess of “red tape”. These days though you can setup a wordpress installation with an IDX component.
